Garden Communities' Commitment to COVID-19 Health & Safety

At Garden Communities, we are guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization local governments, as well as our expert consultants and will adapt our practices according to their most up-to-date recommendations. In response to COVID-19, we have implemented a number of new safety measures to help reduce the spread.

Our purpose of Creating a Better Way to Live guides us always. COVID-19 has impacted us all in ways we never expected, and the circumstances continue to change. We are quickly and thoroughly altering the way that we operate our communities, interact with each other, and support our customers to meet the moment. Your well-being, and that of our team members, is our top priority. Here’s what we’re doing to help protect everyone in our communities:

Face coverings are required in common areas by residents, visitors and staff members.

When you live in a public space like an apartment building or complex, protections from coronavirus become more communal. Precautions are the same that the CDC encourages you to take in your own home, the only difference is you don't have control of everything that happens.

If you're concerned about Garden Communities coronavirus prevention, we encourage you to contact your property leasing staff to discuss our guidelines, which are based on CDC recommendations.

Cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces in common areas and amenities.

Surfaces frequently touched by multiple people, such as door handles, desks, phones, light switches, and faucets, should be cleaned and disinfected at least daily. More frequent cleaning and disinfection may be required based on level of use.

Garden Communities has taken steps to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This is especially important in our apartment communities because of the communal areas that increase the risk for spread of the virus. Every community is unique, so it is up to us, Garden Communities managers, operators and administrators, to be proactive, find what works at our locations, and implement a plan to protect our residents and staff. This guidance is for our managers and administrators where there are communal areas such as lobbies, laundry rooms, elevators, fitness rooms, trash rooms, etc.

Hand sanitizer dispensers available in many shared spaces.

Keep an eye out for newly installed hand sanitizer stations located in offices and common areas, as well as throughout the Garden Communites properties. Many property managers are making hand sanitizer readily available so that practicing good hygiene is more convenient as residents enter common spaces and touch shared surfaces.

Garden Communities cleans routinely and frequently touched surfaces and objects, including but not limited to, bathrooms, security desk areas, elevators,  door handles, pool areas playgrounds, bathrooms and the like.

Self-guided tours allow prospects to see their new home in person while practicing social distancing (most locations)

Garden Communities is offering tours without the assistance of a leasing representative to meet growing consumer interest in viewing a property on your own time and at your own pace.

Contactless leasing experience, payment, move-in process, and package pickup.

Garden Communities enables you with 3D Virtual tours, online applications, and our AI-driven chatbot to enable you to lease an apartment without human contact.

Daily health screenings and attendance logs for our associates.

Garden Communities conducts symptom screening to help lower the chance of COVID-19 transmission in our apartment communities.

Garden Communities developed and implemented a process for screening employees for and responding to employees with COVID-19 symptoms.  All staff are screened for specified COVID-19 symptoms daily before entering the workplace.
